Accessibility

At the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts we strive to provide an environment where all services, performances and facilities are available to all guests.

Parking

The parking deck located on the corner of Salisbury and South Street and both open-air parking lots located directly across South Street from the building have multiple accessible parking spaces. Accessible parking for the Duke Energy Center Box Office is located off of Wilmington Street, adjacent to Fletcher Theatre. The Box Office has moved and is now located directly in front of Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. The Duke Energy Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday 9am-5:30pm. Accessible parking for the North Carolina Theatre Box Office is located in the Kennedy Theatre parking lot, which is accessed from the Salisbury Street side of the building. Please note that after hours parking (after 5:30pm) in the Kennedy Theatre parking lot and the Box Office parking area off of Wilmington Street is not considered public parking for evening and weekend performances.

Shuttle Service

Golf cart shuttle service is available to take guests from the parking lots, to the entrances of the theatres. The shuttle service is also available after performances, to return guests back to the parking lots. The carts can be found near the accessible parking spaces of each parking lot. Please be aware this service is available only on parking lots directly across South Street from the DECPA and from the parking deck at South & Salisbury Streets.

Drop Off Area

The drop off area is located in the brick area, directly in front of Lichtin Plaza, in front of the building on South Street. Driving on Lichtin Plaza is strictly prohibited.

Courtesy Wheelchairs

A limited amount of wheelchairs are available for guests upon request. A driver’s license is required to reserve a wheelchair. Please see an usher or Box Office Staff for assistance.
