Based in the heart of Downtown Raleigh, the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts has stood as an epicenter for artists from across the globe as well as within our own community and has welcomed countless patrons through the doors.

Now, we invite you on a new journey as an Oak City Insider. Sample the Arts as you experience performances ranging from theatre, music and dance from some of the region's most treasured performing companies which call our venue home. Mozart's The Magic Flute - North Carolina Opera

Mozart’s delightful, fairy tale comedy The Magic Flute comes to life in a brand new, never-before-seen production designed and built specifically for North Carolina Opera. 
The Queen of the Night convinces Prince Tamino to rescue her daughter, Pamina, from the clutches of the evil high priest Sarastro. He soon learns that Sarastro is not a villain, but the virtuous leader of an enlightened group that both Tamino and Pamina wish to join. With the help of the colorful, zany bird catcher Papageno and his magic bells, Tamino and Pamina pass a series of entrance tests, thus ensuring that love and goodness carry the day.

When can I purchase tickets?

  • UPDATE: Tickets can be purchased now through the November 7, We Will Rock You performance for $195!

Where will my seats be located?

  • Seats will be assigned in order of purchase in designated areas throughout each venue for Oak City Insider Packages.

Do I need my Oak City Insider Lanyard for each performance?

  • Yes. Please bring your lanyard as this will act as your entry into the venue and the concierge area. Once in the venue, we will have more information about your seat locations and specialty concession item.

How do I receive a refund or exchange tickets to another performance?

  • Tickets included in this package are valid only for the listed performance dates and times. This package will not include refunds or exchanges.

What should I do if I have lost my Oak City Insider Lanyard?
