  • North Carolina Opera

    Capital Opera Raleigh (COR) and the Opera Company of North Carolina (OCNC) have recently joined forces, promising expanded offerings in the Triangle and throughout North Carolina. A new company, North Carolina Opera, formally began operations on July 1, 2010, blending the best of COR and OCNC to offer main stage productions at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts’ Fletcher Opera Theatre.

  • Carolina Ballet

    Launched as a professional dance company in 1997, this vibrant, young ballet company has since garnered critical praise from national and international media. Under the direction of Robert Weiss–former artistic director of the Pennsylvania Ballet and principal dancer at New York City Ballet under the legendary George Balanchine–Carolina Ballet has staged 75 world premiere ballets and toured internationally in China and Hungary.

  • Theatre Raleigh

    Hot Summer Nights at The Kennedy began in the summer of 2005 as a project to bring a smaller and more intimate professional theatre to downtown Raleigh. By having a strong group of producers, who each have an extensive background in the arts, the group is able to share an array of shows with audiences by combining some of the best talent from both North Carolina and New York. Performances range from musicals and comedies to thought-provoking dramas.

  • NC Symphony

    The first state-supported symphony in the country, North Carolina Symphony is a full-time, professional orchestra with its home in the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts’ spectacular Meymandi Concert Hall. Under the artistic leadership of Director Grant Llewellyn, the orchestra seeks to bring music to the entire state with countless touring performances, a free education program and award-winning collaborations with state museums and North Carolina composers.

    Founded in 1984, the NC Theatre is the home to inspired, irresistible performances of Broadway Shows and Off Broadway Musicals and Plays, blending the work of ‘equity’ performers with local talent. The Theatre’s outreach programs and youth training also bring access to the arts to students all around North Carolina.

  • Pinecone

    PineCone is dedicated to preserving, presenting, and promoting traditional music, dance, and other folk performing arts. Formed in 1984, this non-profit organization is considered the largest and most active traditional music organization in North Carolina, with a reputation for presenting the very best in all the varied forms that make up traditional music.  Each year, PineCone presents 125-150 concerts and events, with approximately 100 free to the public.
