The Banjo Tramps: Tim O’Brien, Jan Fabricus, JD Hutchinson, and Old Man Luedecke -

Sat., Jan. 27

For this special concert, Tim O’Brien performs with Jan Fabricius, JD Hutchinson, and Old Man Luedecke, three artists O’Brien has been collaborating with individually for several years.

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tim O’Brien grew up singing in church, and after seeing Doc Watson on TV, he became a lifelong devotee of old time and bluegrass music. Over the years, he has released 15 solo albums in addition to collaborations with his sister Mollie O’Brien, songwriter Darrell Scott, and noted old time musician Dirk Powell. His newest release, Where the River Meets the Road, features songs from his native West Virginia, including bluegrass and Americana covers from songwriters Hazel Dickens, Billy Edd Wheeler, and Bill Withers alongside heartfelt autobiographical originals.
