May 16, 2017
Fletcher Opera Theater
Meacham has profiled Andrew Jackson, Thomas Jefferson, and, most recently, George H. W. Bush as part of a body of work that spans from the Founding Fathers to the late 20th century. He is one of America’s most prominent public intellectuals and a skilled raconteur with a depth of knowledge about politics, religion, and current affairs that helps his audiences understand how historical events and current issues intersect. The Pulitzer Prize–winning author is a former editor-in-chief of Newsweek and now serves as a contributing editor to Time magazine, as well as the executive editor at Random House.
